Zucchini Boat Race

Last Friday there was a zucchini boat race at the Chewelah Farmer's Market. So David made a boat(with Aunt Melissa's help) for the race. Then he got tired and grouchy and finally fell asleep. I decided a boat race wasn't worth waking him up for. So he missed the race but he did go float his boat down the creek when he woke up. He enjoyed that immensely.

Chewelah Market

We have been enjoying the Chewelah Farmer's Market so much this year. The new location in the park is so beautiful. It has been staying pretty busy and is lots of fun.

New Potatoes

We have been harvesting new potatoes the last couple of weeks and bringing them to market. It is so amazing to have them already. These are ones we started in March in the hoophouse. Then later after we stopped having frost we moved the hoophouse off and put tomatoes in it.

Earth Day Fair

We went to the Chewelah Earth Day Fair this morning. It was lots of fun. The weather was sunny most of the time, too. We brought crafts, cards, the first spring produce and the baby chicks! Kids love to come see the chicks and we sold them all!
